Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Submissions should be made by email to the principal contact of the journal.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Author Guidelines

  • Word count must total 2,500 to 3,000 words for Academic commentaries and 1,500-3,000 for Third Sector professional commentaries.
  • The content should be written in an audience specific language where the audience is made up of predominantly Third Sector professionals.
  • Commentary should be written on the three topic papers presented based on the following:
    • For academics - expertise, ability to review, synthesis, contribute to a body of work, make a coherent case for change and generally provide opportunities for the Third Sector to learn, and
    • For Third Sector professionals - the ability to reflect personal professional practice in the context of the three papers, to provide expert commentary, to consider how theory may improve practice.
  • All authors must certify that their article is their own original work and has capacity to sign this informal contributory agreement.
  • The NETSRG shall have the right to make or to request the Author to make any revision to the contribution which the NETSRG may deem necessary and to decide as to the inclusion or omission of the Contribution in/from the work.
  • The NETSRG has an intention to produce submissions rather than editing in order to provide a range of knowledge on a theme and a range of knowledge.
  • All material drawn on must be referenced appropriately.
  • The Author(s) agree to keep the NETSRG, its assigns and licensees indemnified at all times against all losses actions, claims, proceedings, costs and damages arising out of any breach or alleged breach of any of the warranties above, where it is considered in the NETSRG’s reasonable opinion that the Author has acted in bad faith, or negligently or recklessly.
  • Permission must be cleared to re-use any content that has not been created by the author(s).
  • All named co-authors must consent to publication and to being named as a co-author.
  • Authors should avoid making any statements about individuals or organizations that could be construed as libel, slander or defamation.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
